WORKSHOPS

ALIGN 1

Register 10 days in advance and receive $25 off! Align Ballet Method. Course #1. Total adult beginners. Basic. Fundamentals. Terminology. Body Placement. Positions. Alignment. 6 classes. 1 hour per week. Same location, instructor, day, time, and fellow students. A simple process. Open to ALL! 1 make up class per series.

ALIGN 2

Register 10 days in advance and receive $25 off. Align 2 is the second and final course in our total adult beginners series. We resume where we left off in ALIGN 1. The ALIGN 2 course immediately follows ALIGN 1 and is scheduled with the same instructor, time, and location. Continue developing your barre technique and begin basic center traveling steps. After completing ALIGN 2 our students are prepared to join our open schedule basic classes. 1 hour per week. Same location, instructor, day, time, and fellow students. A simple process. Open to all. 1 make up class per series.

BASIC SEMESTER

Basic semesters are for students with prior training or those who have completed our workshop series. These closed classes are purchased in blocks and attended over a 2 – 4 month period. We are utilizing semesters to build small dedicated adult ballet communities throughout Southern California. 

MISSED THE SEMESTER START DATE? No problem. NEW students with the ability to complete a basic ballet barre and center may email InBox@alignballetmethod.com to schedule a complimentary trial class. ALIGN will email you a prorated invoice for the remaining classes if you should decide to join. 

INSTRUCTORS

Zoe Keisjer

Following her early dance training in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Zoe studied extensively in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s pre professional program while simultaneously completing her high school education. Zoe continued training and began her professional career in Vancouver BC where she danced with the Goh Ballet Youth Company and with the Vancouver Opera. Zoe proceeded to dance as a member of the Connecticut Ballet Company. Having then moved to New York City, she completed multiple Fellowships with the Merce Cunningham Trust performing reconstructions of the Cunningham Company’s original works at City Center in New York. Upon relocation to California, Zoe danced with Pasadena Dance Theatre and ArtistsPlus Productions. In addition to her classes with Align Ballet, Zoe is also an adjunct professor teaching ballet courses at Hussian College in Los Angeles.

 

Amanda De Oliveria 

At only 10 years old, Amanda relocated from her home in Sao Paulo, Brazil to New York, where she enrolled in the School of American Ballet. She continued her formal training on full scholarship at ABT’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, and was invited to join their Studio Company, ABT IIDuring her time with ABT, Amanda performed at the MET Opera House, the Kennedy Center, and at historic theaters throughout Europe, and earned her ABT National Training Certification. She has since choreographed and taught Master Classes for Columbia, Yale, Stanford, and numerous international universities.
